Pashmina refers to the type of fine cashmere wool from the pasmina goat which is a special breed of goat indigenous to high altitudes of the Himalayas. Today, the word pashmina is used generically to describe any type of "wrap". Every type of "wrap" was named in relationship to its size. A scarf was 12" x 60", stole 28" x 80" and the full sized shawl measured 36" x 80". While the sizes don't necessarily match the names in today's manufacturing process, shawls, scarves, stoles and ponchos are a timeless and versatile accessory. Whatever your mood, there is an item to complement you from playful to chic and glamous to soft and cozy. A favorite scarf comes alive again when coupled with a new jacket. A two year-old coat is updated by a spiffy new scarf that enhances your personality. Scarves, shawls, stoles and ponchos are easy to wear, easy to store and easy to love. Look over our selection for the perfect accessory to complete an outfit that needs just a little touch of something to transform it from an OK outfit to a stunning fashion statement. And . . . one of the best things they make perfect gifts because they always fit! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ |
